CALL FOR PRESENTATION OF ABSTRACTS

The XV Pan American Congress of Infectology welcomes the submission of original abstracts that may contribute to enhancing knowledge in our specialty and/or related specialties alike.
All the abstracts sent will be evaluated anonymously by the International Review Committee in charge of reviewing all scientific papers.
Papers will be accepted in two formats:
a) as oral presentations to be presented during the mini symposia
b) as posters.
Appplicants should suggest the format they prefer for the paper they are submitting. The final decision for oral presentations is adopted by the Review Committee.
All papers accepted will be published in the Abstracts book in their full versions.

Opening of the period for the on-line reception of abstracts at 0 hours 07/07/2010
Closing date for the reception of abstracts
at 0 hour 7/12/2010
Notification of acceptance
The notification of acceptance or rejection of the paper will be sent to the first author by late February 2011. Please, consider that only the lead author will receive the notification. The authors whose abstracts have been approved will receive instructions for the presentation of their work either in oral format or as a poster.
If the paper is accepted as a poster, the author in charge of presenting the abstract must be present during the session to which he/she is appointed.

Message by the Organizing CommitteeThe XV Pan American Congress of Infectology will be held from April 7 to 10 2011 at the Conrad Resort & Casino in Punta del Este. That will be a new opportunity for all experts on infectious diseases and related specialties to exchange experiences and to transfer knowledge on the big themes of infectology that are of special interest in the Americas. We are designing a very interesting scientific program, consistent with the standards set by the Pan American Infectology Association, and we have chosen to host it in Punta del Este, a seaside resort that is well-known for its natural beauties, security and easy access from Montevideo and central cities of neighboring countries. It will be a pleasure to see you in Punta del Este 2011. We invite you to prepare papers and abstracts that will enrich the scientific level of the event and to enjoy the priviledged natural landscape and hospitality.
